The Department of California aims to meet and perpetuate all of the traditions of the U.S. Marine Corps. Our purpose is to join our fellow Marines and League members in becoming shining examples of patriotism, honor and citizenship. Together as Marines we should recognize our Veterans, support special days of commemoration and actively participate in Marine Corps events.

All Department Officers share the same values and enthusiastic spirit as the Leagues' founding member General John A. Lejeune. We take pride in projecting these values within the Department, to our fellow Marines and our surrounding communities.
There is no better way to uphold these values than by joining your local Detachment, the most important organization in the League. By becoming an active member of a Detachment you will be part of a dynamic organization which will quickly gain prominence within your community. By actively participating in and recruiting to your Detachment you will be part of a growing association of Marines, ensuring that our traditions and proud history is honored and remembered.
Your participation in your local Detachment is instrumental and vital to the growth and effectiveness of this great organization, the Marine Corps League. Show your pride and serve your community by joining a local Detachment today!
The “California Leaguer” is a quarterly publication of the Marine Corps League, Department of California.
