Jr Past Cmdt Message

It is hard to believe that it has been almost a month ago we were all together for the Department Convention. Or at least most of us.

I just wanted to thank you all for the great job you did and your commitment to the Department and most of all the support you provided me in the year as Department Commandant, as well as through my positions as Sr. and Jr. Vice.

I know that the newly elected Commandant Richard (Dick) Jennings will do a fine job. I know you will provide him with the same support. Its not an easy job, so working together is the key element to a strong and healthy department.

I look forward to sitting with the rest of the Past Commandants at our next get together. I already had my cover embroidered with the word PAST.

I will see some of you at the National Convention in Billings, Montana soon. Which brings me up to the my next point. As you all know, elections for the National Officers will be held. I encourage you to please, if you have not already, submit the National Conventions Delegation form, even if you don’t plan to attend. Also, keep in mind that for the first time in thirty (30) years that the MCL west coast has someone running for National Judge Advocate or any national officer position. His name is TJ Morgan. He is currently the Northwest Division National Vice Commandant. It is paramount that we have a strong voice from someone on the west coast. I met him – Strong background and strong Marine. His Bio is in the Department website.

Again, Thanks to all, see you at the next event!
